Technical Requirements

The Grid Vision software is an asset inspection software for utilities. It is designed to allow efficient inspection of data from asset inspections by combining AI algorithms with human expertise. The system imports, stores, analyzes and visualizes images and associated metadata from asset inspections so that you can efficiently assess the health of your assets.

Automatic Image Analysis

The goal of Grid Vision is to provide subject matter experts with fast and accurate Asset Insight to improve the safety of the workforce, reduce the number of outages and improve operational efficiency. In order to do that, an important functionality in Grid Vision is the ability to gather and analyze huge amounts of image inspection data from drones, backlogs, helicopters, and manual uploads using state-of-the-art image recognition algorithms (deep learning) and other machine learning algorithms to automatically identify defects on asset components.
